Setting up Vimeo.

Create an Application.

Before we move to the options we need to create an app on Vimeo. Make sure you are logged in to Vimeo. Follow the below steps:

  1. Visit this link: https://developer.vimeo.com/apps/new. Fill the form and click 'Create app' button. You just need to fill App name, App description, App URL (your website URL) and don't forget to agree to the terms.

  2. Now on the app page click 'Authentication' tab. Then scroll down to 'Generate Token' button. Click it and you will get an access token. Note down this token. Check the image below -

Configure the options

Go to 'Dashboard' > 'Buttons X' > 'Settings' and click on 'Social Counters' then open the 'Vimeo' tab. The following options need to be configured to display Vimeo followers count.

  1. Vimeo Access Token
    Insert the Access Token you copied / noted previously.
  2. Vimeo Channel ID
  3. Your Vimeo Channel ID is text based generally. You can get the ID on your channel page as shown in the below image. For example, if your profile URL is 'https://vimeo.com/channels/staffpicks' then your ID is staffpicks.
  4. That's it! save the settings.
